UK, and love it. I've spent time on the road in North America, and working in South America and Europe. Plus time in Australia, so I am comparing life here to the lives I've had elsewhere. The UK is expensive in cost of living terms, but you don't have to own a car (unlike the US). The UK still has state health care, and a broadcasting system based on public service. And pasties.

Hi all, I'm in the USA- Georgia to be exact. I like it okay except in the summertime (like now) it's so hot (especially when the air is out in my car and I have to commute to Uni. every day) sigh but cheers apple martini

I like the "meal" ones you can get-savory on one side sweet on the other. Nice if you eat them the wrong way round.
Oh and the BBC rules too!

I've never had a pastie... can you describe it to me... and what do you mean by the sweet/savory ones... sounds interesting.

Ah pasties, the great food of Cornwall.... Its like a meat pie/wrap thing. Usually made with meat in the centre of a disc of pastry and folded....see Tradition has it that the original pasties contained meat and vegetables in one end and jam or fruit in the other end, in order to give the hard-working men in the mines 'two courses'. Cornish housewives also marked their husband's initials on the left-hand side of the pastry casing, in order to avoid confusion at lunchtime. I got confused once, yum.

I suppose if I ever get courageous I could try it on my own, but I would have no way of knowing if I had it right or not...
