So, I just dug out my copy of M.A.S.H. Trivia: The Unofficial Quiz Book and have decided we should have a trivia challenge. I will post five questions from the quiz book and give everyone a chance to respond to them. No need to keep score or anything -- this is just for kicks. All the questions come from the book. Here we go: - 1. Which one of the cast members had a cousin who was twice the Democratic Party's nominee for President?
- 2. Trapper one had a nickname other than Trapper. What was it?
- 3. What was the 8063rd's motto?
- 4. How long was Margaret engaged?
- 5. In "For Want of a Boot" what did Hawkeye after he was unable to get the boots?

Yes, yes, post any answers you have in the thread. Sorry, should have made that clear. I really did not think this "challenge" out that well, did I?

I think I remember seeing the 8063rd's motto in the ep. "Comerades in Arms" pt1 when Hawkeye and Margret go up there and its deserted, but I can't remember what was on their sign...

I think I will post the answers tomorrow along with five more questions. Three days seems like a good timeframe for answers to pour in.

The 8063rd's message was "We Never Close" or something like that.

#2. I don't know if this is right but it's sort of familiar to me, Wasn't Charles' first patient a Jewish doctor? He had something wrong with him (can't remember what) and he kept telling Hawkeye that there was no hope for him--he was a dr. and he was sure. But then, along comes Charles and he knew what to do (being the bright surgeon that he is) o good heavens, I'm such a rambler! cheers
